Tele Speak
Official documentation — Practice languages with AI on Telegram
Overview
What is Tele Speak?
Tele Speak is a Windows application that lets you practice languages with artificial intelligence on Telegram. You send text or voice messages and receive replies in text and audio, with the AI acting as a tutor — correcting grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation naturally, without breaking the flow of conversation.
The app runs on your PC; practice happens in Telegram (phone or desktop) in Saved Messages — that is where you train alone anytime.
- AI conversation — Text and audio replies to train listening, speaking, and writing.
- Free mode — Natural conversation with real-time correction when needed.
- Focused mode — Practice one grammar pattern at a time.
- Repetition mode — Hear the model phrase, repeat in audio, and get feedback.
- Simulation mode — Role-play everyday situations (café, hotel, restaurant, interview…).
- Lesson Mode — Progressive curriculum with study blocks, Portuguese phonetics hints, and clearer, slower audio.
- 8 languages — English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese.
- Natural voices — Human-sounding audio; switch voice/language from Telegram.
- Progress per language — Lessons and challenges saved per language and resumed when you turn the bot back on.
- Automatic updates — The app checks the official server for new versions on startup.
- Windows 10 or later.
- .NET Framework 4.8 (or a compatible version indicated by the installer).
- A Telegram account.
- API_ID and API_Hash from Telegram — see the tutorial: how to get API ID and API Hash.
- An OpenAI API Key for Conversation replies — see the tutorial: how to get an OpenAI API Key.
- Enough disk space to install the program and voices (the package is large because it includes voice engines).
- An internet connection to activate/validate the license, check for updates, connect to Telegram, and call OpenAI.
Tele Speak must stay running on your PC (bot ON) while you practice on Telegram. Without the app running and authorized, messages will not be answered.
- You receive the Tele Speak installer (a ZIP with the setup executable and, when needed, helper
.bin files). Source code is not included.
- After purchase, use your email and purchase code in the download/license flow.
- Extract the ZIP, run the installer, finish setup, and open Tele Speak from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.
- On first launch, complete license registration with the details received by email.
- Then authorize Telegram and configure Conversation (API Key and voice) before turning the bot on.
- The program may check for updates automatically on startup.
Before using the app, register your license on the activation screen.
- Enter the email used for the purchase.
- Enter the license code you received.
Each license is valid for one computer. If you change machines, contact support.
After activating the license, follow this order to start practicing:
- Authorize Telegram — Settings → Authorize Telegram. Enter API_ID, API_Hash, and phone (with country code). Connect, confirm the code, and save.
- Configure Conversation — Settings → Conversation Settings. Enter your OpenAI API Key, choose model and voice (the voice sets the language), and save.
- Check status — On the main screen, Telegram and Conversation should show as configured.
- Turn ON — Flip the switch. Status turns green (ON).
- Practice on Telegram — Open Saved Messages and send text or audio. Type
menu or ajuda to see the modes.
Tip: use Telegram Saved Messages to practice alone — you message yourself and the bot replies automatically while Tele Speak is ON on your PC.
Tele Speak uses the official Telegram API to read and reply to your messages. Create (or reuse) app credentials at my.telegram.org.
- API_ID — Numeric identifier for your Telegram application.
- API_Hash — Key associated with the API_ID.
- Phone — Number with country code (e.g. +1…).
- Connect / Login — Enter the verification code. If 2FA is enabled, enter your password when asked.
- Save — Stores the configuration and session locally for next launches.
Keep your API_ID, API_Hash, and session secure — they grant API access to your account. Do not share them with others.
In Settings → Conversation Settings you control how the AI replies and speaks.
| Field |
Description |
| API Key |
OpenAI key (required for Conversation). |
| Model |
e.g. gpt-3.5-turbo (default), gpt-4o-mini, gpt-4o, gpt-4. |
| Max tokens |
Maximum reply length (default 500). |
| Temperature |
Reply creativity (default 0.55; range 0–1). |

| Send audio |
When enabled, the AI also replies with audio on Telegram. |
| Delete audio after listening |
Removes the tutor audio after you listen (optional). |
Use Test Connection and Test voice to validate. Reset memory clears conversation history. Always click Save.
On the Tele Speak main screen you will find:
- Conversation — Entry point for practice (main button).
- Settings (gear) — Authorize Telegram and Conversation Settings.
- ON / OFF switch — Enables or disables the bot. Status is ON (green) or OFF (red).
- Indicators — Show whether Telegram and Conversation are configured.
- Version — Shown in the window title (e.g. Tele Speak - V. 1.2.0.0).
If Telegram or Conversation is not configured, the bot will not turn on. Complete both steps and try again.
In Telegram, type menu or ajuda to see the modes. You can also activate each mode with its command:
- Free mode (
modo livre) — Spontaneous conversation; the AI corrects grammar and vocabulary when it makes sense.
- Focused mode (
modo focado) — Practice one grammar pattern at a time.
- Repetition mode (
modo repetição) — Hear the phrase in audio, repeat it, and get pronunciation feedback.
- Simulation mode (
modo simulação + scenario) — Role-play. Example: modo simulação pedir comida no restaurante.
- Lesson mode (
modo aula) — Progressive curriculum with phonetics and didactic audio.
You type or send audio; the AI replies in text and, if enabled, in audio. Corrections may appear in a second message without breaking the conversation rhythm.
Note: Telegram commands are typed in Portuguese as shown (e.g. modo livre, vozes). That is how the bot recognizes them.
Lesson Mode provides a progressive curriculum for structured study — ideal if you want to advance step by step.
- Broad curriculum — A cycle with dozens of levels and study blocks (hundreds of lessons per cycle).
- Lesson phases — Words → phrases → practice → grammar → text.
- Portuguese phonetics — Pronunciation hints so you can read aloud with confidence.
- Didactic audio — Slower and clearer for listening and repetition.
- Word-level drill — When repetition fails, the app reinforces specific parts.
- Saved progress — Per language; when you turn the bot back on, you resume where you left off.
- Next lesson — May start automatically after a block; there is also a manual command.
For Chinese and Japanese, Latin phonetics (pinyin / romaji) help with reading and pronunciation during lessons and repetition.
Conversation can run in any of the following languages, based on the selected voice:
English
Spanish
Italian
French
German
Russian
Chinese
Japanese
The conversation language follows the selected voice. You can switch voice (and language) anytime from Telegram without reopening the app.
Switch voice on Telegram
vozes — Lists available voices (or starts the language/region assistant).
vozes N or voz N — Switches to voice number N (e.g. vozes 5).
- In some flows, typing only the number (e.g.
5) also selects the voice.
Main commands during practice (type them exactly as shown):
| Command |
Function |
menu / ajuda | Shows available modes and options. |
modo livre | Natural conversation with correction. |
modo focado | Targeted grammar practice. |
modo repetição | Shadowing: listen and repeat in audio. |
modo simulação … | Role-play; add your scenario. |
modo aula | Starts or resumes the curriculum. |
vozes / vozes N | Lists or switches voice/language. |
resumo | Summary of progress / practice. |
dica | A useful tip for the current context. |
voltar / continuar | Resends or resumes the current segment. |
próxima aula | Advances in the curriculum. |
limpar historico | Clears conversation history. |
modo | Shows or helps choose the current mode. |
In repetition and lesson modes, prefer answering with audio when the exercise asks you to repeat — pronunciation feedback is more accurate.
- Keep Tele Speak ON on your PC while practicing on your phone.
- Use Saved Messages to train without needing another contact.
- Choose the voice for the language you want before starting a lesson or simulation.
- In free mode, speak naturally; corrections arrive without freezing the chat.
- In simulation mode, be specific about the scenario (e.g. hotel check-in, job interview).
- If the AI seems to “forget”, adjust history in settings or use
limpar historico.
- Keep your OpenAI API Key and Telegram credentials private.
On startup, the program checks the official server. If a newer version exists, you get a prompt to download the installer (ZIP) and review the release notes. Installation can run silently and the app reopens when finished.
We recommend always keeping the latest version for fixes, new languages, and audio improvements.
